Description

The CBAFF Export Declarant Course is designed for people who wish to become registered users of the Joint Border Management Systems (JBMS) and obtain a Unique User Identifier (UUI) for export entries only, in accordance with NZ Customs Service regulations.

To obtain the CBAFF Export Declarant Certificate, students are required to complete each of the two modules (in order) and attain an 80% or higher pass rate in the closed book examination at the end of the course.

Rationale:

Participants are employees of the Customs Broking industry or exporters who prepare customs entries. They are requested to complete this course as part of their professional development. Our participants will have at least 12 months working experience in the industry and a basic understanding of industry terminology and day to day practices.

This course has been developed by experienced professionals and provides industry recognition to an approved standard. Completion of this course is necessary to become a registered user of the Customs Computerised Entry System.

Training will comprise of one x 4-day work shop. Our facilitators are enthusiastic industry professionals with a vast background of experience and knowledge. 

Prerequisites

  • Completion of the Introduction to Customs Broking and Customs Tariff Interpretation Course – STRONGLY RECOMMENDED

OR

  • At least 12 months working experience in the New Zealand Customs Broking Industry

 

 

PLEASE NOTE:
Successful completion of CBAFF UUI courses and passing the exam, is not a guarantee of the issuance of a UUI by NZ Customs - it is one component of NZ Customs' criteria. NZ Customs will not issue a UUI to persons not actively engaged in the industry as the lodgement of Customs entries require linking users to an employer and clients.

  • Customs and Excise Act 2018
  • Customs and Excise Regulations 1996 (latest reprint or update)
  • Customs (Export Entry WCO Message ) Rules 2013
  • Working Tariff Document (IVS have a number of copies for classroom use only)
